Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and Silkbreath when you use this website. By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. What Silkbreath provides
Silkbreath is a free library of exercise information, animated demonstrations and courses, with tools to build and play your own routines. It is provided for general education and personal use.
2. Not medical advice
Nothing on Silkbreath is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and no doctor-patient or therapist-client relationship is created by using it. Read the health and safety notice, which is part of these terms. Always ask a qualified health professional about your own situation, and never ignore or delay professional advice because of something you saw here.
3. Using the site
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, use Silkbreath with a parent or guardian's permission.
- Use the site for lawful purposes. Therapists, teachers and others may use it to share routines with the people they work with. Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it, or use it to harm others.
- Do not copy the site's content in bulk, or use automated tools to collect it, without our written permission.
4. Your account
You can use Silkbreath without an account. If you create one, keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. How we handle your information is described in the privacy policy.
5. Your routines and notes
- Routines, notes and settings you create are yours.
- If you make a profile, or share a routine from one, what you put there can be seen by others, as the privacy policy describes. You are responsible for it. Do not pretend to be someone else, do not put another person's name, health details or other personal information in it, and do not use it to offend, mislead or sell. We may hide or remove a profile or a shared routine, or close an account, if these terms are broken. To tell us about something that should not be there, use "Report this profile" or write to us.
- A routine someone shares with you comes from them, not from Silkbreath. We do not check it. If it was made for you by a therapist or teacher, follow their advice about it, and stop if anything hurts.
6. Our content
The text, courses, animated figures, design and software of Silkbreath belong to Silkbreath or are used under licence, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view them and use them for your own personal, non-commercial practice and study. You may share a link to any page. You may not republish, sell or redistribute the content, or use it to train a commercial product, without written permission.
Exercises, poses and traditional practices themselves belong to no one. We describe them in our own words and drawings and make no claim to own them. Names of disciplines and practices are used in their ordinary, descriptive sense. See copyright and credits.
7. If you believe something infringes your rights
We respect other people's rights and will act quickly on a valid complaint. See copyright and credits for how to tell us.
8. No warranty
Silkbreath is provided "as is" and "as available". We try to keep it accurate, safe and running, but we do not promise that it will be free of errors or interruptions, that it will suit your particular needs, or that any exercise will produce any result.
9. Limits on our liability
You use Silkbreath, and do the exercises shown, at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, Silkbreath and the people who make it are not liable for any injury, loss or damage that arises from using the site or relying on its content, including indirect or consequential loss and loss of data.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, and nothing takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place where you live.
10. Changes and availability
We may change, pause or end any part of Silkbreath, and we may update these terms. When we change the terms we will update the date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
11. Ending use
You may stop using Silkbreath at any time. We may suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms or to harm the service or other people.
12. General
- If part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Silkbreath is run from Vietnam, and these terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. This does not affect any mandatory rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
